Concrete work in the Inner West
Much of the building in the Inner West happens on tight, established sites: apartment and mixed-use infill along the main road and rail corridors, renovations and extensions to older homes, and remedial work on existing strata buildings. That means smaller areas, close neighbours and a lot of visible concrete. Typical Inner West scopes include:
- Honeycomb, spalling and patch failure repairs
- Wet area and balcony falls prepared for waterproofing
- Class 1 skimming of visible walls and returns
- Stair adjustments and slab edge repairs
Care on established sites
On occupied or tight sites the surrounding work is prepared and protected before anything starts, and grinding is done with vacuum extraction to keep dust under control. Repairs are finished to blend with the existing concrete as closely as practical and the area is cleaned up when the job is done.
