What the work covers
Edge damage usually shows up as chipped corners, spalling, rough patches or an edge line that wanders in and out. Typical slab edge scopes include:
- Repairing chipped, rough or inconsistent edge profiles
- Skimming and patching defects for a cleaner exposed finish
- Grinding or cutting as required to correct line and size
- Forming or repairing drip grooves along slab edges
- Preparing slab edges for inspection or follow-on trades
Our approach on site
FCPR reviews the edge and the target finish before starting, then chooses the method that suits the defect. High or oversized sections are ground or cut back; missing or damaged sections are patched and skimmed to rebuild a clean profile. Site equipment includes Hilti grinders with vacuums, jack hammers and breakers, and laser and digital level measuring tools for checking line.
The finished edge is cleaned up and left ready for inspection, coatings or the trades that follow.
