Size, line and shape corrections
Formed concrete that comes out oversized, out of line or the wrong shape can hold up the trades that follow. Typical corrections include:
- Cutting or shaving concrete where size and line need correction
- Correcting horizontal alignment and vertical plumb
- Correcting uneven or oversized formed sections
- Adjusting fillets and upturn radiuses
- Skimming and rendering to rebuild clean profiles
Floor levelling and finish-floor preparation
Floors that sit out of level or have local irregularities can be skimmed, ground or patched to prepare for the required finish floor level (FFL), keeping a clean presentation in corridors and rooms before the next trade starts.
Method and equipment
FCPR checks the defect and the target finish before starting, then works with Hilti grinders and vacuums, Floorex floor grinders, jack hammers and breakers, cutting blades and discs, and laser and digital level measuring tools. Grinding and patching are used together to reduce finishing risk, and surfaces are left ready for finish trades or inspection.
