What we repair
Honeycombing and voids leave open, rough or porous areas in formed concrete. Left alone they become bigger finishing issues later in the job. FCPR is regularly asked to correct:
- Honeycombs and voids in formed concrete
- Spalling and chipped edges
- Cracks and patch failure from earlier repairs
- Damaged, rough or poorly finished visible areas
How the repair is done
Every repair starts by reviewing the defect and the finish the area needs to achieve. The surrounding work area is prepared and protected, then the right method is selected for the issue: patching, grinding, skimming or cutting back where the shape needs correcting.
The patched area is finished to blend with the surrounding concrete as closely as practical and cleaned up ready for inspection. Where visible walls or returns need a cleaner final result, the work can continue into Class 1 skimming and surface finishing.
Who we work with
Honeycombing repairs are a common request from builders and concreters, and FCPR also takes on strata, commercial, residential and remedial work. Send the location, a short description and photos of the defect through the quote form and FCPR will come back to you about the next step.
